Cabbage Rolls "Unrolled"
Ingredients:
In a large skillet, brown meat and onion until meat is no longer pink and onion us tender. Add garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute. Next, add the chopped cabbage, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Then cover & simmer for 20 minutes or until cabbage is tender. Makes a great crock pot dish as well.
- 2 pounds of ground beef, extra lean ground turkey or ground chicken breast
- 1 large diced onion
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1 chopped small cabbage
- 14.5 oz can crushed tomatoes (with no sugar added)
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- black pepper seasoned to taste
